Permanent follicle damage?

Hi Mr. Morrocco, I have been using your products for about a week now and I am following all the advice, washing, brushing, etc, so hopefully soon I'll have some good news to report. My question at this time is regarding follicle damage. Looking at pictures of myself from high school, over 10 years ago, I could not see my scalp through my hair, and it looked so normal and so nice but at this time my hair seems so thin and fine that I see my scalp even at it's fullest after a nice washing, especially on the crown. It's getting me really upset, especially since I'm a woman. Considering it's been a decade of damage (diet/hormones/neglect/ who knows??) do you think it's too late to go back and undo things? I have consulted dermatologists who have told me that it's completely hereditary and there is nothing to be done, and that it's normal and it is what it is and although I want to keep hope alive sometimes I fall into thinking that damage done over such a long period of time just cannot be undone, and I am wasting time doing all this stuff. What do you think? Have you known any clients who were able to repair their hair after long term hair loss?

thanks so much

alternate products daily see our shampoos / conditioners and styling products and ZEN DETOX to the rescue

Re: Permanent follicle damage?

Thank you so much for the reply. I feel soooo much better now knowing that there is a really good chance I'll be able to get my hair back. I am following all your advice regarding diet, using all natural products, massaging, brushing, etc. As a quick update, as of about 3 days ago (I wash my hair daily because it's so oily) my hair has been coming out really nice and soft after washings. It still gets oily fast but the fact that I am able to get it clean feeling and soft and flowy after a wash is huge because when I first started the MM system, for the first week and a half or so my hair would be feeling almost waxy and would be stuck to my head after it dried off. So, it's getting better and better and I'm starting to come out of the detox phase, phew! And yes, I am using the conditioners and zen detox. I'll keep you updated as I go. Thank you!

Re: Permanent follicle damage?

Hi, thank you so much for the reply. My hair was so damaged that I had to cut a horrible 6 inches just 3 weeks ago to stop the split ends from advancing. Not only did I have split ends but my hair would break off easily when lightly pulling on it so I had to cut off a lot of hair to get rid of as much damage as I could. Believe it or not my hair was in such bad shape that I still have some split ends even now and if I pull on it it'll break off at multiple points on the hair shaft. I haven't used the Lunar chart yet, but my future trims will definitely be based on the dates of the chart.  Basically I figured I'd cut off the damage, then start your program, work out, meditate/eat/sleep better all at one time-start fresh with everything. From my personal estimation (based on how I see my situation) it'll probably take me about a year before I can say ok, I've tried everything I could, let's see what my results are.  And this just reminded me I need to take my "before" pic, ha:).
